SMART it’s a 100% italian owned Company, as well as management and production, specialized in manufacturing twisted and braided sewing threads, for shoes, leathergoods, upholstery, automotive interiors and technical applications.

Production facilities, technically advanced and efficent, are implemented with continuos investments in new machineries which garantee sophisticated and reliable manufacturing cycles. In addition to a strict control of production of standard items, the Company develops in his laboratory new lines of products, using advanced raw material and treatments for fibers finishing as: nylon, polyester and high performances ones (UHMWPE, Para/Meta Aramydic and LCP).

Many resources are dedicated to R&D and new solutions to offer to the sewing industry, operating together with Customers, and partecipating to technical exhibitions. 

Cooperation with the most important special sewing machines producers, used for many tests on the most difficult machinery, it’s warranty of a continuous and carefully check of threads quality, and best finishing suitables to every kind of stitch and operation.   

Prodution it’s managed by IT system that grant a perfect synchrony between all departments, twisting, braiding, dyeing house and finishing, up to the last step, stock in warehouse.

Product range it’s a reference for industry operators, and offers solutions for  assortment and technical problems to the most exigent customers

Flexibility and service are the strengh of the Company, together with the avaiability of all items in more than 200 colours, and ability to satisfy the requests for colours on demand, thanks to in-house dyeing department, ready to develop new colours in very short time. 

Sales network it’s always close to customers, and operates in the most important leather and shoes production areas, to assist customers needs, both in Italy and abroad.

The presence in foreign Countries is increasing thanks to the implementation of a net of agents and distributors in the main productive areas.
